About The Event
To nurture leadership qualities and instill a sense of responsibility among the newly elected Student Council members, SFS Guwahati organized the Student Council Leadership Training Programme on 12th May 2025 in the Mermier Hall. The session aimed to help the student leaders understand their roles and develop the skills necessary to guide their peers with confidence and integrity.
The event commenced at 8:30 AM with a warm welcome to all present, followed by a soulful prayer song – “We Welcome You.” The atmosphere resonated with enthusiasm as the newly elected council members gathered to embark on their journey of leadership and service.
The Resource Person for the day was Ms. Tinat Atifa Masood, a renowned trainer and communication expert, who conducted an engaging and interactive session. The felicitation of the resource person was done by the Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, who also delivered an inspiring welcome address, encouraging the students to lead with empathy, discipline, and dedication.
Ms. Masood’s sessions were marked by thought-provoking discussions, role-plays, and leadership activities that motivated the council members to reflect on their purpose and teamwork abilities. Through interactive exercises, she emphasized the importance of communication, emotional intelligence, and accountability in leadership.
A short refreshment break at 10:00 AM was followed by the second session, which focused on practical aspects of organizing events, managing responsibilities, and maintaining harmony within the student community.
The day concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Mujida Yasmin Ahmed, the School Head Girl, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, the resource person, and all attendees for making the day a success. The session ended with the School Anthem and a group photograph, marking a memorable day of learning and inspiration.
The Student Council Leadership Training 2025 not only empowered the young leaders but also reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible, compassionate, and confident Desalites ready to make a positive impact on their school and beyond.
