St. Francis de Sales School, Guwahati, celebrated Parents’ Day 2025 with great pride and splendour on November 25, 2025. The event drew an overwhelming response as parents, families, and guests gathered to witness an evening filled with cultural brilliance, creativity, and heartfelt performances by our students.
The programme commenced at 4:15 PM with the Opening of the Ceremony, followed by the respectful Lighting of the Lamp and Flag Hoisting, symbolising enlightenment and unity. A majestic Grand Musical Orchestra Performance set the tone for the evening, showcasing the discipline and musical excellence of our young performers.
A warm Welcome Address by the Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, highlighted the significance of partnership between parents and the school in the journey of holistic education. The serene Prayer Dance further added grace and spiritual depth to the occasion.
The event was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Provincial, Rev. Fr. Sabu Francis, MSFS Guwahati Province, Mr. Angshuman Bora, a celebrated senior advocate, Gauhati High Court, and Mrs. Dipika Choudhury, Inspector of Schools, Kamrup Metro, whose inspirational messages applauded the school’s continued commitment to character-building and academic excellence.
One of the major highlights of the evening was the Dance Presentation by the Wonder Kids, followed by the spectacular Musical Drama titled The Heart of Education, which seamlessly blended music, theatre, and storytelling. The performances included a variety of cultural and contemporary forms, Western genres, Indian classical and folk expressions, patriotic themes, and fusion choreography, captivating the audience with diversity, confidence, and artistic maturity.
Behind every performance stood hours of preparation, dedication, and teamwork. The Leadership team along with all the staff, and volunteers worked tirelessly, from rehearsals to costumes, logistics to backstage management, to ensure a seamless and memorable experience. Their commitment echoed the school’s belief that every event is an opportunity for learning, leadership, and growth.
Parents’ Day 2025 will remain a cherished milestone, one that reflects the spirit, unity, and excellence of the SFS family. As we continue forward, we remain committed to shaping confident, compassionate, and capable individuals who carry both values and vision into the world.
