About The Event
On 22nd April 2025, SFS Guwahati hosted a special morning assembly in the SFS Block to mark two important milestones—the formal welcome of the new Grade XI students (Science, Commerce & Humanities and the felicitation of the achievers from our successful DIEP Integrated Coaching Batch who qualified in the prestigious JEE Advanced Examination. The event was conducted in the Assembly Ground of the SFS Block with great enthusiasm and reverence.
The programme commenced at around 7:55 AM with a soulful prayer titled “We Welcome You”, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Milind Sharma of Grade XII Humanities B, who extended greetings to the new members of the senior wing. The message emphasized the significance of Grade XI as a phase of growth, self-discovery, and academic seriousness.
Special recognition was given to six exemplary students from the DIEP Integrated Batch from SFS Guwahati of the institution who successfully cleared JEE Advanced, one of the most competitive entrance exams in India. The students felicitated were:

These achievers were commended for their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence. Their success serves as an inspiration to all the other students, highlighting the heights that can be reached through consistent effort and focus.
Adding a cultural touch to the morning, students from Grades VII to IX presented a vibrant Bihu dance performance, showcasing the cultural richness and talent within the student community.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, addressed the gathering with a message of encouragement and motivation. The Principal extended a warm welcome to the new Grade XI students and applauded the JEE Advanced qualifiers for their remarkable achievement. The message stressed the importance of hard work, integrity, and commitment to excellence in every endeavour.
The event concluded with the National Anthem at 8:20 AM, instilling a sense of unity and patriotism among all attendees.
The programme successfully blended celebration with inspiration, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for Grade XI and honouring those who have made the school proud through their academic accomplishments.
