About The Event
In a momentous celebration of talent and inclusivity, the SFS School Guwahati organized a felicitation ceremony on 5th February 2024 to honor the remarkable achievements of the All-Girl Band team that participated in the prestigious NCC Republic Day Parade 2024 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. The event marked a historic milestone as the first All-Girl Band from the Northeast to be part of this grand occasion.
Acknowledgments:
The event commenced around 8.00 am with expressions of joy and pride as the organizers acknowledged the extraordinary accomplishments of the students along with their coach and our NCC & Drill teacher, respected Lieutenant Dilip Subedi. The entire team, comprising Junior Under Officers, Under Officers, and other members, demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, earning them the Best Team Award.
Felicitation Ceremony:
The focal point of the event was the felicitation ceremony where our Principal Rev. Fr. George Thomas, honored and felicitated Lieutenant Dilip Subedi, for his exemplary guidance. Each member of the NCC All Girls Band Team was individually called forward to receive their well-deserved felicitation. The audience applauded their achievements as they received recognition for their outstanding contributions.
Best Team Award:
The entire team was collectively honored with the Best Team Award, underscoring the synergy and excellence they demonstrated as a cohesive unit.
DG Commendation Award :
Ankita Sharma, a standout performer, received the DG Commendation Award in Delhi from Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, adding another layer of distinction to the team's achievements.
Junior Under Officer Anshikha Jha was invited to share her thoughts and experiences on behalf of the team. Her speech provided insight into the mesmerizing journey of participating in the Republic Day Parade and the immense pride the team felt in representing the North East. Anshikha's words resonated with inspiration, motivating the audience and leaving a lasting impression on the significance of the historic event.
The Program Coordinator expressed gratitude to all involved and highlighted the significance of the achievement in promoting excellence in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt thank you and a call for a round of applause to recognize the dedication and success of the NCC All Girls Band Team who served as a source of inspiration for future generations to contribute meaningfully to their community, state, and nation.
The felicitation ceremony was a resounding success which concluded around 8.20 am, leaving a lasting legacy of pride and motivation within the SFS School Guwahati and NCC Kohima communities as well.
