On 3rd April 2024, a significant moment unfolded as the doors of learning opened for the Class I students at SFS Guwahati. The day commenced with a heartfelt blessing ceremony held at the Mermier Block, starting promptly around 8:00 am. In a tender display, the young students, guided by their teachers, lit candles, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and the beginning of their educational journey.
As melodious prayers resonated through the halls, Rev. Father George Thomas, the esteemed Principal, extended a warm welcome to the budding scholars. He imparted words of encouragement, emphasizing the school's commitment to providing a nurturing environment where each child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. In the presence of the parents who witnessed the entire blessing ceremony, the Principal assured them that proper care of their children shall be taken and full focus shall be given to the holistic development of the student.
The ceremony culminated at 8:30 am with the rendition of the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and pride by the SFS school NCC band. With heartfelt wishes for success, the entire school community extends its support to these new learners as they embark on this exciting chapter of their lives.
