About The Event
The capacity building programme for teachers was conducted exclusively from July 23rd to July 26th, 2024, at St. Francis De Sales School, Guwahati. The programme was divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, with different training schedules. The training schedule for both groups consisted of four sessions, including a welcoming session, two training sessions, a lunch break, and a final training session.
The Group A schedule commenced on July 23rd, 2024, with a session on Critical & Creative Thinking conducted by Mr. Subrata Goswami an esteemed educator of Mathematics currently teaching at Royal Global School and Sangita Deka. This was followed by a session on the National Curriculum Framework by Ms. Shivani Johri. Also, Sonali Deka who is the Academic coordinator of the senior secondary section and PGT English at Don Bosco School, Panbazar. She has been working there for the past 15 years, on July 24th, 2024. On July 25th, 2024, Sonali Deka conducted a session on Storytelling as Pedagogy. The final session for Group A was conducted on July 26, 2024, by Subrata Goswami and Shibani Dutta Chowdhury who has been serving as PGT at Don Bosco Panbazar since 2009, teaching Political Science and Sociology on Critical & Creative Thinking.
The Group B schedule started on July 24th, 2024, with a session on Storytelling as Pedagogy by Sonali Deka. This was followed by two sessions on Critical & Creative Thinking conducted by Subrata Goswami and Shibani Dutta Chowdhury on July 25 and 26, 2024. The training sessions were conducted by experienced Resource Persons, including Subrata Goswami, Sangita Deka, Sonali Deka, Shibani Dutta Chowdhury, and Ms. Shivani Johri.
The capacity building programme for teachers was successfully conducted, covering various topics such as critical and creative thinking, national curriculum framework, and storytelling as pedagogy.
