About The Event
SFS Guwahati warmly welcomed the start of the Academic Session 2026–27 on April 6, 2026, as the campus once again came alive with cheerful laughter, eager footsteps, and the excitement of fresh beginnings.
After a refreshing break, students and all staff returned with renewed energy and enthusiasm, ready to begin a new journey of learning, growth, and discovery. The day was made special with the presence and blessings of Rev. Fr. Melvin Parambukattil, Principal, SFS Guwahati, Rev. Sr. Baby Rose, Vice Principal (SFS Block), and Rev. Fr. Sibin V.A., Vice Principal (Mermier Block), who addressed the students during the morning assemblies in both blocks.
A heartwarming highlight of the day was the Welcoming Ceremony for the Class I students held at the Mermier Block. The little ones were warmly received into the SFS family as they stepped into their new academic world with excitement and curiosity.
A meaningful moment of the ceremony was the lighting of candles by the Class Teachers of each section, symbolising enlightenment, hope, and the beginning of the children’s educational journey. The occasion was further enriched by the encouraging words and blessings shared by Rev. Fr. Melvin Parambukattil, Principal and Rev. Fr. Sibin V.A Vice Principal (Mermier Block).
The ceremony concluded on a proud and inspiring note with the National Anthem by the school’s NCC band, making it a memorable beginning for the young learners and their families.
As the new session begins, the entire SFS Guwahati community wishes every student a joyful, confident, and enriching year ahead.
