About The Event
SFS Guwahati, conducted a special assembly on 8th May 2026 across both the SFS Block and the Mermier Block to celebrate academic excellence, discipline, leadership, and outstanding achievements of students and staff members.
The assembly at the SFS Block was conducted in the esteemed presence of Principal Rev. Fr. Melvin Parambukattil, Vice Principal Sr. Baby Rose, staff, and students. The programme began with a prayer seeking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by a series of felicitation ceremonies celebrating remarkable accomplishments across various fields.
Felicitation of JEE Advanced 2026 Qualifiers
A proud moment for the institution was the felicitation of students who successfully qualified for JEE Advanced 2026. The achievers honoured on the occasion were:

The special assemblies in both the SFS Block and the Mermier Block also recognised the Star Classes for the month of April 2026. The awards celebrated classes that demonstrated excellence in discipline, teamwork, consistency, participation, and overall performance in school life.

NCC and Sports Achievements
Adding further pride to the celebration, the school recognised remarkable accomplishments in the field of NCC and sports:
• St. Francis de Sales School, Guwahati – Best School in the entire North Eastern Region at the NCC NER Annual Awards 2025–26
• Mr. Dilip Subedi – Best Associate NCC Officer in Assam at the NCC NER Annual Awards 2025–26
• Samuel Joshi (Class XI Commerce) – Best Shooter in the North Eastern Region at the NER Directorate NCC Inter
Group Service & Sports Shooting Championship 2026
The achievers were felicitated amidst loud applause and appreciation from the gathering, bringing immense pride and honour to the entire SFS family.
Addressing the assembly, Rev. Fr. Melvin congratulated all the achievers and encouraged students to pursue excellence with dedication, sincerity, and perseverance. He reminded students that success is the result of consistent effort, discipline, and determination.
Both assemblies concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the students inspired and motivated to continue working towards excellence in every sphere of life. The celebrations reflected the school’s commitment to recognising achievement, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture of dedication and perseverance among students.
