St. Francis de Sales School, Guwahati, conducted its Investiture Ceremonies 2026 across both the Mermier Block (Junior Wing) and the SFS Block (Senior Wing) during the morning assemblies on 4th May 2026, marking the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council and celebrating the spirit of leadership, responsibility, and service.
The ceremony at the Mermier Block was graced by the presence of Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Sibin V. A, staff and students. The programme commenced with an impressive Band Display performance that filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and pride, followed by a prayer seeking the blessings of the Almighty for the newly elected leaders.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where the members of the Students’ Council pledged to uphold the values, discipline, and integrity of the institution. The School Flag was ceremoniously handed over to the Junior Head Boy by Rev. Fr. Sibin, symbolising the trust and responsibility entrusted to the young leaders. This was followed by the Badge Distribution Ceremony for the Junior Head Boy, Junior Head Girl, Class Captains, and Vice-Captains. The honours were carried out by Rev. Fr. Sibin along with Ms. Sanyukta Baruah (Academic Coordinator), Ms. Binita Konwar (Coordinator), and Ms. Tarali Devi (Coordinator). Addressing the students, Fr. Sibin encouraged the council members to lead with sincerity, humility, and commitment.
The Investiture Ceremony at the SFS Block was conducted in the esteemed presence of Principal Rev. Fr. Melvin Parambukattil, Vice Principal Rev. Sr. Baby Rose, staff, and students. The programme began with a grand Band Display, followed by the prayer song that set a solemn and meaningful tone for the occasion.
During the ceremony, Rev. Fr. Melvin formally handed over the House Flags to the House Captains, symbolising leadership and accountability. The elected members of the Students’ Council then took the oath, pledging to serve the school with honesty, dedication, courage, and integrity. The Badge Distribution Ceremony marked the formal induction of the House Captains, House Vice-Captains, Class Captains, and Vice-Captains. The badges were presented by Rev. Fr. Melvin, Rev. Sr. Baby Rose, Dr. Sangeeta Bharali Dutta (Academic Director), and Mr. Sudip Saha(Coordinator).
In his inspiring address, Rev. Fr. Melvin urged the students to become leaders who inspire through actions and service, reminding them that true leadership lies in responsibility, compassion, and setting the right example for others.
Both ceremonies concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the students motivated and filled with a renewed sense of pride and purpose. The Investiture Ceremonies 2026 reflected the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing confident, disciplined, and value-driven leaders prepared to serve society with integrity and vision.
