About The Event
The Class XII Farewell for the Batch of 2025–26 at SFS Guwahati was celebrated with grace and heartfelt emotion on 23rd December 2025 at the Assembly Ground of the SFS Block. Organised by the students of Class XI from all streams—Science, Commerce, Humanities, and Integrated Science- the event served as a beautiful tribute to their seniors. The ceremony commenced at 12:00 PM with a formal initiation by the anchors, followed by a soulful prayer song presented by the students of Class XI IC NEET, setting a serene tone for the occasion. A warm welcome message by Titiksha Dutta of Class XI IC JEE added a personal touch, embracing the audience into the spirit of the farewell.
The cultural performances that followed brought vibrancy and charm to the event. A melodious musical orchestra paved the way for an energetic series of dance performances— a glamorous retro dance by Class XI Humanities A, a dynamic hip-hop act by Humanities B, a captivating Bollywood dance drama by the Commerce students, and a lively Indian folk dance by the students of Science A. The students of Science B further enriched the celebration with a mesmerising fusion dance, displaying a creative blend of styles. At XII:20 PM, the Gift Ceremony was held to honour each Class XII student with tokens of love and appreciation, symbolising the blessings and well-wishes of the SFS family as they step into a new chapter of life.
A significant moment of the afternoon was the inspiring message delivered by the Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, who encouraged the outgoing batch to uphold the values of discipline, resilience, and integrity as they prepare to face the challenges and opportunities ahead. His words resonated deeply with the students, leaving them with motivation and hope. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Krishnav Charingia of Class XI IC JEE, followed by the School Anthem at XII:57 PM. The celebration came to a warm close with a farewell lunch at 1:00 PM in the basketball court, giving students and staff an opportunity to share memories and extend their personal wishes.
The farewell programme stood as a meaningful and joyous occasion, filled with affection, gratitude, and pride. It not only celebrated the achievements and journey of the Class XII batch but also strengthened the bond shared within the SFS community, leaving the outgoing students with cherished memories as they embark on their future endeavours.
